I love this place, I don't care much for park fees especially when all we do is sit and watch the river or eat our lunch and leave. But this is the first place my now fiancee and I hung out, almost 3 years ago. Shared our first kiss there, ate countless lunches, and watched a bunch of wild, untamed adrenaline junkies float down the rogue with nothing but the moonlight. No flashlight, nothing just straight moonlight. We saw a random bicyclist fly into a bush in front of us, telling us he was fine and came back out dazed and confused 5 min later. Not suited for large area sports like soccer or baseball, but frisbee and other similar activities are possible. Read moreThis is a great spot in the middle of town. Nice water spot for little kids that's easy to get to. Can get crowded in summertime with all the rafters and vans but no biggie. I would rate it higher except that they tore out the playground so now it's really just a field and the river. It kinda is a bummer that the town can't put in something for the kids.
