Shaker Heights Thornton Park — Attraction in Shaker Heights

I live in highland hills in a senior building we do not have a pool. I paid $8 to swim there it was a nice experience but the lady was very nasty and said you have to be a resident to swim here. I'll let you pay and swim this time, and one time only she was very rude, and very obnoxious. it was a horrible experience I'd be happy to pay for a membership I had a fusion on my right ankle from an accident many years ago. the lady who worked in the office was the nastiest rudest person I've ever met in my life. seeing that I owned a hair salon on chagrin with my family years ago this place knows nothing about customer service wrong kind of management for a family facility.. I mean I was one little five foot person willing to pay for a membership and use the pool I live exactly a half a mile away but her politics the lady in the office with the short hair she was an older woman very nasty she must have been having a...

Typically I don’t make posts like this, but I feel the need. The life guards are incredibly intense. These kids have a little bit of authority and take it drastically too far. The rules are inconsistent between them all. Not to mention some of the life guards have it out for only one demographic of people.

I am always with my child, I never leave his side, yet I was reprimanded today while other parents were doing the same exact thing. If rules are to be enforced they need to be enforced for everyone.

Thornton is a wonderful four-season park. It features an Olympic-size pool. The water is always almost perfectly clear. When the pool is empty of people you can see the full 50 meters -- end to end. The pool accommodates athletes who want to swim laps. It has a diving well. For the kids there are two great water slides, a shallow end, and a lazy river.

Thornton also features a year-round skating rink, a climbing wall, a playground, two fantastic sledding hills, and a sand volleyball court.
