What am amazing find! I stumbled into this part by accident looking urgently for a public bathroom . There was a group of buildings together that could c have been a movie set for an old western film or a Little house on the Prairie episode. Behind this area was a pavilion with a concrete floor that was rentable and a barbecue area as well and bathroom facilities. adjacent to the pavilion was a large heavily treed area which appear to typically be flooded with river overflow, but at this time was dry, and it was stunningly beautiful, and felt like an adventure walking through it

My wife and I visited for breakfast. She had oatmeal with bananas and pecans. It also can with a piece of toast and some brown sugar. I had the thick cut bacon and eggs. I was surprised that you can either get toast or potatoes, the meal does not come with both. I chose toast as the potatoes are cooked with onions. My meal was not very filling, with only 2 strips of bacon, 2 medium-sized eggs, and 2 slices of toast for $13.45 seem a bit pricey. My wife's meal at $7.95 seemed like a much better value. Serve wS very good a d the restaurant is cute.

I love this place and have visited there thru the years. It's nice that you can go to the paths and village at no charge but there is few times a year when the houses are open. We went there today for a photo op and it was perfect weather and everything is well kept. The difficulty with this place is very hard for a person with handicaps involving walking as it doesn't allow vehicles on the premise so handicapped people are kind of left out of the experience.

A wonderful place to gain a perspective on the last two hundred years of Minnesota history. Authentic homesteads from various Minnesota communities have been moved here and placed in their historical environments. In season and post-COVID, one can walk through time from early German settlers through late 19th century English influence with guides dressed in period-appropriate clothing and retelling their story of hardships of their time. It’s an excellent place for Minnesota 6th graders to gain hands-on experience with what they’re learning in classrooms. It's also excellent for adults to gain a broad understanding of...

AMAZING. I've lived here my whole life, and came here as a kid. But never remembered it being so serene and incredible. Walking the paths and taking my time through the town killed almost 2.5 hours! I appreciated the informational plaques as I used this as an excuse to remind me of how great we have it today. I love the idea behind this and I wish there was more funding to make it "alive". I will come here more often especially as the leaves turn.

I did see a little bit of trash on the walking trails, does 3 Rivers have some sort of litter pick up volunteer opportunity? Could be a fun way to get more people to...

We held our family reunion at the Landing park in Shakopee for about 90 people in August. All my relatives had a wonderful time. This beautiful venue is on the Minnesota River. The large Pavilion kept everyone cool in the heat. Lots of interesting historical buildings on-site to see. The restroom was very clean. Paula was our coordinator and extremely helpful. Everything went smoothly. We also want to thank Alex who helped us the day of the event. It was inexpensive to rent the Pavilion and nearby building for the whole day. Included were setup of tables and chairs. What a time saver! We will host our next family...
