My husband James and I had our reception here on 11.19.22. It was the most beautiful day ever, and the Saphire Estate was the most perfect place to have it and really made the day special for us and our guests. From the second we toured this venue in the fall of 2021 - we fell in love. We saw this venue in the middle of dead-cold December and it STILL looked beautiful! Well-maintained, landscaped, clean, organized, etc. We looked at 10-15 other New England, charming, vintage-modern, venues and although from a location stand-point the Saphire Estate was not our priority, it was most certainly the most impressive, beautiful, private, and quality venue we saw. You can get a feel for the service they provide through all of their work. They do not host other events - only weddings - so they know what they are doing. I mentioned the location aspect because I want to prove to prospective brides and grooms that even if you are from the North Shore or Boston, you can still create the most beautiful wedding day in and around Sharon. We were heartbroken not to be able to get married at our church on the North Shore, but no venues impressed us and made us feel special like the Saphire Estate did - so deciding to get married in a different Greek Orthodox church closer to Sharon was beyond worth it! Let's talk service - the Saphire estate blew us away with the food. The quality was amazing - we liked 90% of the things we tasted and we actually went for 2 tastings because we were indecisive. Our guests commented on how great the food was both that night and beyond. The appetizers were chefs-kiss and our two entrees - the slow-cooked braised beef and tuscan-crusted chicken were out of this world. We wanted our guests to feel special and like they were at a 5 star restaurant. We are a super food-oriented family so that was important to us! The Saphire Estate offers an exceptional separate space for the cocktail hour and moves guests under a (heated!) awning as they move into the gorgeous reception space. This is a FULL SERVICE wedding venue - there is a coordinator on site that helps your day/night move smoothly, a bridal attendant that essentially follows the bride around to make sure she has everything from drinks, food, took my coat, helped me with pictures, etc. I didn't even know I was getting this until it was happening, haha! It was incredible. All of our vendors said that working with the Saphire estate is always so easy, organized and flaw-free. Everything went perfectly. Our coordinator Kayla was amazing - she had a great understanding for weddings, exceptional recommendations, and helped our night move smoothly when the timing schedule was a bit off due to delays from the church. She was so easy-going and had an exceptional positivity and radiance. On our drop-off day (dropping off items at the venue 2 days prior to your wedding) - my nail appointment ran over, we had a major hail storm, got stuck in the worst traffic ever and had the most stressful day trying to get to the estate. Kayla calmed me down and made it work despite being late. She really understands what a bride goes through and how to make everything okay. I cannot recommend this venue enough - they put so much care into everything they do! There are SO many different places to take pictures - like honestly more than you'll ever have time to get pictures at! There is the fountain and patio outside the cocktail house, the bridge, out in front of the estate, on the walking path in the woods, down by the lake, and more. I am an extremely high-maintenance worrier and I was beyond satisfied with EVERY little detail that went into this wedding. Don't wait - book the adorable and charming Saphire...
Read moreFrom start to finish, our experience with Sapphire Estate was incredible. When we first began our venue search, we toured The Lakehouse with Madison Jarrett, and she immediately set the tone for what a thoughtful, professional experience should feel like. It was the first venue we toured, and we truly had no idea what we were doing, but Madison took her time walking us through everything. She asked about our vision, the other venues we were looking at, and the vibe we wanted for our wedding. Even after the tour, she encouraged us to reach out with any questions, and she meant it. She went above and beyond every step of the way. Later in the process, when we decided on Sapphire Estate, Madison gave us another tour to show the new getting-ready space, and she was just as amazing the second time—personable, patient, and so genuinely kind.
Our event producer, Kayla Caddy Williams, was truly outstanding. I sent her countless emails throughout the planning process, and she always responded quickly, kindly, and with clear direction. She kept us on track and made sure every detail was perfectly planned. On the wedding day, she went above and beyond. It was 80° outside, the ground was muddy, and our second photographer didn’t show up. I was hot, overwhelmed, and on the verge of tears. Kayla could tell before I even said a word. She walked down during photos with a drink in her hand, handed it to me, and said, “We’re going to take this last photo and then go upstairs for a quick break.” It was exactly what I needed, and I’ll never forget that small act of care.
The venue itself is stunning. There are endless spots for photos, the grounds are immaculate, and the Gatehouse getting-ready suite is absolutely perfect. It’s beautiful, spacious, and such a fun place to have your bridal party together before the ceremony.
We also had Amanda as our bridal attendant, and she was unbelievable. I joked after the wedding that I felt like Princess Mia from The Princess Diaries, and Amanda was my royal staff. Every time I turned around, she was right there handing me my bouquet, holding my drink, fixing my dress, or helping with something before I even had to ask. She truly made me feel like a princess.
The only minor issues we experienced had nothing to do with these amazing staff members. Some of our guests mentioned that the drinks were very weak, and a few ended up ordering a shot of vodka on the rocks to mix their own drinks—a little frustrating considering the bar tab was open all night. We also noticed that when guests left their drinks on the tables to go dance, they often came back to find them cleared away. Sapphire Estate had asked us to avoid bringing drinks onto the dance floor, but they weren’t strict about it. People did bring drinks out there and it was totally fine. It just seemed like the staff were being a bit overzealous about cleaning up, which led to some full drinks being thrown away.
All that said, those were small things compared to how perfect the day was overall. I highly, highly recommend Sapphire Estate, and especially Kayla Caddy Williams, Madison Jarrett, and Amanda. They made our wedding day absolutely flawless, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team or a more...
Read moreWedding date – April 28, 2017. When my daughter, son in law and I began this process in April 2016 we happened upon Saphire Estate by chance through an internet search and then a friends recommendation. From the first appointment we were Impressed with Justin and his knowledge and desire to get to know my daughter and what her goals were for her wedding. As we moved through the process we met Elizabeth our event planner, words cannot adequately express our experience with her. She was absolutely amazing!! We were never rushed or pressured, she wanted to get to know Dionna and Richard and learn everything possible so that every detail was perfect. Elizabeth was responsive (I never had to wait to get a question answered), caring, funny and left you feeling confident that she had it all under control. When we had one minor snafu with a photo booth vendor- I looked at her and said ‘ you got this? And she was already 5 steps ahead of me and she turned it around and no one would have guessed there was a minor issue. I worried about nothing else the rest of the evening. So many time I have heard from my friends that there kids weddings went by in a flash because they were ‘putting our fires’ – I can tell you having Elizabeth and her team there allowed me to be present and engaged with my guests and actually enjoy every second. On the day of the wedding we met Jim ( our banquet manager) and Jeannine ( Dionna’s bridal assistant) as well as the servers and bartenders. Jim was attentive to my questions and requests – I never had to look for him, it just seemed liked I would turn around and he was there! I appreciated that more than you know. Jeannine was fantastic – she took care of Dionna and was like her shadow. I do not think that I heard the words no or I can’t the entire evening. As I write this it has been 4 days since the wedding and I am still getting text messages from the guests raving about the details and service! Lastly, if you do choose Saphire take a hard look at the recommended vendors. We almost exclusively used the list. (Keith Berry for photos, Peter Diozzi as DJ and Rev Gibney as the officiant) This group of professionals all knew each other and worked together like a well-oiled machine. I can honestly say that we would not have done one thing differently as a Dad who wanted the best ‘send-off’ for his little girl they absolutely 100% exceeded my...
