Saw Mama Mia last night.. (thinking; "oh this will be kind of fun, - watching community theatre, outdoors, wasn't to muggy and hot, under the stars, etc")
Holy Cow!! We were "Totally blown away", by the performance of the main character who played Sophie Sheridan (Libby Terill).. Wow..!!! If you wanna see an up and coming musical actress - she is it.. My wife and I have seen hundreds of Starlight musicals over the years, and been to Broadway a few times, and seen musicals in Los Angles, and San Diego - but this young lady who was playing Sophie in Mama Mia was unbelievable. Her singing was pitch perfect, solo's were off the chart, and acting was great. We felt as if we were watching a major production - just based on the acting and singing by Libby. So congrats to her, we hope she pursues her passion into larger markets - she is truly talented.
So.. I strongly recommend seeing this play before they finish the series.
Bring a sturdy lawn chair and blanket to conquer your spot.
Get as close as you can to the stage so you can see everyone.
Food and beverages were great at the concession stand.
Wouldn't recommend this play for kids, just cause its alot of singing and not a Disney...

The bathrooms have a lot of stalls, no waiting around. And the concession building had snacks and fresh popcorn. The ticket booth did not have much of a wait and it was fine to buy your tickets on arrival. You do need to take your own lawn chair or blanket. I really enjoyed "The Music Man" musical play here which was well done with all of the songs from the movie plus plenty of dances with intricate...
Read moreFantastic time here! Great family place! I just wish they better handicapped needs. My niece had a rare eye condition to where she is legally blind, it would have been nice to have the option for her to sit right near the stage so she could actually see and enjoy the performance (as well as she can). And my 80 year old mother also. Too many people ran upon entering to get the seats upfront leaving my family who had two handicapped people sitting farther back making it harder for them to enjoy the show. I would gladly pay more to have the option for them to see and have...
