I read the reviews and thought this would be a great place to take my family to to do some discount shopping. Boy, was I WRONG!

First thing I noticed when I got there was the bathrooms outside. Old school, tacky, but they worked. Next I walked up the ramp to the blue doors (you can enter in about 5 different colored entrances) and what do I see on the door? A sign that reads "No one under 18 shall enter unless with parent". Interesting. Then as I walk in, the first booth I see is for XXX movies. WHAT?!?! I dismissed this and start walking (with my wife and 1 year old daughter in a stroller) to the various booths and store set-ups that exist. The booths looked like crap, and the pathways in between all of them looked like crap as well. There were plenty of empty spaces, then some booths just had some people's possessions from a storage shed taking up the space. There was not a good selection of products. There was a bar at one end, and plenty of junk and porno dvds you could buy, but not much else. There were some knockoff shirts and apparel, and a used video game store, but that was it.

Not to mention the neighborhood around it was full of XXX DVD stores and strip clubs, so the atmosphere seemed very dirty. I wasn't comfortable being in there, and neither was my wife. Safe to say we will never go back. We did go to another flea market later in the day and it was 100X better. DO NOT GO HERE if you actually want to buy...

This is the review from the standpoint of a temporary vendor. I vended at Expo5 for a few weekends, and my experience as a vendor has been amazing. I visited Derby Park on a Thursday morning to figure out the details, and miss Jennifer walked me through the building and worked with my on my options, especially when I said that I was unable to vend every weekend. The price for the booth at Expo5 is more than reasonable, and the management will work with the vendor's schedule and availability. I got 3 tables (which is a whole lot compared to anything I got anywhere else before) and an almost unlimited amount of chairs (I just needed 3 but there were plenty of extras). I was not asked to pre-pay for the booth and paid on the day I actually came to vend, while being allowed to set up the day or two before. When I was there, I sat under a TV, and for the first few minutes, it was a bit loud but then I noticed that the volume went down significantly: someone was clearly there and paid attention to where I was set up, ensuring my comfort with decibel levels. The turnout really depends on the day (Saturday may be different from Sunday) and the weekend overall. At the end of the day, Derby Park may not be exactly what I needed as a vendor but I am immencely happy that I gave it a try for a few weekends and can definitely recommend it to someone dipping their toes into...

This is one of my favorite places to support. I have been shopping here for about 5 years and love that my purchases directly support individuals starting a business and those supporting their families. There is an area outside where farmers sell fresh produce, 3 trailers, a variety of goods, and a small food court in building 3. There is everything from clothes/ lingerie, vinyl records and old school video games/ music, used computers/lap tops, collectables, pictures, accessories, furniture, jewelry, movies, and a lot more. I frequently visit building 3 to stock up on Avon annually. She is very nice and helpful. If you walk in and walk straight you will see her booth on your left just before the main center walkway. There is also a new booth there owned by Shauna (she is also a customer of mine) who sells lingerie and is adding stylish clothing to her booth for all sizes up to 5x. She is in building 3 immediately around the corner from the entrance to your left. She is also very nice and welcoming. I purchased a few items from her myself😊. Here prices are great, product is eye catching and good quality, and her customer interaction is relaxed and pleasant. Check out the Derby Park Traders Circle Expo Center if you havent. There is something for everyone here. Plus you might get your steps in for the day if you walk through all areas to see what the sellers...

Everything about this awesome place screams "bargains". It's like trudging through the back alleys of Bangkok or Hong Kong but...in The heart of Louisville...using good 'ole USA cash. An impressive assortment of merchandise from thrift-store style UTTER junk to amazing hand-crafted items. The outside area is just a tantalizing taste of what's to come with a range of amazing vendors literally dumping their wares out for you to pick through. Bikes, power tools, electronics, dvd's - pretty much anything and everything. The massive 'hangar' style covered area is where the fun begins. MAKE NO MISTAKE...If you consider yourself to be a REAL bargain hunter, you NEED to check this place out. Jewelry, clothing, TV's, street-wear, imports, tools, antiques, furniture etc etc etc - it never ends! There are several interesting eateries dotted throughout the sections too so you'll never go hungry. Mexican favorites and USA standard delights. An IMPRESSIVE assortment of novelty candy vending machines are dotted throughout the market. I suppose it's not for everyone. You may struggle if you suffer from OCD but if you truly enjoy getting knee-deep in the search for a BARGAIN...this IS THE place! OH...and if you've ever wondered where the strippers buy their clothing - wonder NO more! I LOVED it! Every AMAZING bit of it!

Is a true flea market. You can haggle prices & find good deals here. The fruit market is a plus, not sure if it's all local fruits but I purchased honey fruits here as they give you bulk at a reasonable price. They have gems if you search. Very pleased as I thought it might of been like others I've been to that have fixed prices like stores do. Not here, they are like the true flea market like back in the day. Very surprised that I found many cool items that you won't find in stores also. Really enjoy coming here 2 to 3 times a month. Tools , clothes, electronics etc. just watch out for some cheap Temu replicas as some just don't pass for my needs. Got a set of Cerwin Vegas component speakers, amplifier & a nice turntable that I really wanted for my home. Originals too in very good condition. These are so nice as they are collectors speakers & you can't find these in stores anymore anywhere. Very pleased with my home sound system.
