This is a pretty nice place to visit. It IS kinda like a city people's lake getaway. There are nice parks in Worcester for sure, but non that you can rent a sailboat at! Here you can rent sailboats, paddle boats, canoes and the have a giant duck and a swan boat you can rent and bring the kids out on! Pretty cool. The water is clean enough. The staff is friendly. The crowd off hangabouts could be a little more friendly, or at least turn the music down a little and make a little room for other people who would like to relax here... But, that's not a reflection on the park or it's employees, that's just people from this area being people from...
Read morePros: Large for central Massachusetts. Multiple boat ramps. Has quiet parts if you want to get away from boat traffic. Places to stop for ice cream etc. Bathrooms!
Cons: Must pay to launch on holidays and weekends. Some people use boats that are too big for the lake or throw giant wakes that can make it less enjoyable for smaller vessels. Sometimes the water can be murky / dirty.
