One of my Favorite spots to walk in the city! It's Incredibly peaceful to walk alongside the riverbank of Lake Quinsig.! A majority of the walking path is naturally embeded in the forestlike ground of the park from years of heavy foot traffic of it's visitors. Read moreActive place. One complaint is they only plow part of the walk so some areas are unsafe to walk. Another is they need a route for children on bikes. They have the best quality ease of use dog bags I have used but don't expect it to be full. Often empty. We like that one side shaded and other sunny so you can choose what you want. One section tranquil overlooking lake other side busy noisy road. We have dogs and they enjoy that most days have lots of dogs to greet. Nice spot for gatherings. Read moreThe park is so conveniently located at the junction of Shrewsbury and Worcester. It provides a nice lake view and so many conveniently placed benches and grilling stations. In the morning, the walking path was full of morning walkers. The football ground seemed to be recently renovated. There is a separate pavilion and its own parking and entrance. It can be used for any small gathering. There were so many benches to sit and relax and most of them facing towards lake - and some of the boats 🚤 with bright light and song 🎵- people were having good time.
