The reviews donât do it justice! The adventure is on the right, off of a small mulched path that is on the side a a beautiful lake. Itâs made of multiple winding paths that loop around that feel like a never-ending discovery. Sculptures are all shapes and sizes and include all subject matter. This looks like itâs someoneâs life long collection of road-side attraction pieces and handmade metal art. There are lots of cement pieces through out, as well. Just when you think you finished the trail, a new route is right around the corner with a water feature or two! There are signs in between the large pieces that all have messages of serenity, love and hope.
I went for the first time with my little one and Mom. From previous reviews and pictures, I thought it was an easy hiking trail with some cool sculptures. Peaceful area.
After going I was happily surprised to see that it was more of a tucked in visual wonderland. Roots are exposed from foot traffic so it can be tricky for people who canât lift their feet very high, but it also gives the feeling that itâs been there forever. There are multiple sitting areas for a picnic, a quiet spot to paint water colors or write a poem. Once on the paths, the trees make you feel tucked deep into a serene magical forest. Itâs as if you have been transported to a far off land in a âSecret Gardenâ of a childrenâs cherished nursery rhyme. As you leave you are reminder itâs just a small area on the side of the magnificent lake. This provokes thoughts of what a visually exciting and cool treasured spot it was to enjoy. Flowers have also been added throughout the trail that just add to the subtle beauty and ambiance. Itâs such a wonderful space. I imagine the mad hatter hosts tea parties at night while the fairies water and tend to the flowers when the moon is high in the sky and the kids who have visited are fast asleep in their beds, dreaming of their adventure.

Read moreSaw the other reviews and decided to take a look; it was the perfect length walk for a toddler in near-freezing weather (ey loved the statues and enjoyed the ice on the pond). The path around the edge of the pond has plenty of statues, but there are even more down in the secret garden area. Lots of animals and other figures, in all sorts of different materials. However, the off-path garden area was basically partially paved with broken glass, as another reviewer said. This was not great for our dog, so we had to send one person with the dog to stay on the path, and we only carried the toddler through the rest of the garden to see the statues, since a trip-and-fall might have been awful. Was still a really fun visit and a lovely piece of community, but just take care of you have furry friends along, and maybe stay on the path around the pond (which is quite short, perhaps a few hundred...
