The Sioux City Railroad Museum was a fun experience. Enthusiastic volunteers were eager to share the history of the place, and provide helpful advise for exploring the area. The history of the location was fascinating, and enjoyable. Huge trains from an era long gone, where you could go inside each train car and see what things looked like, and imagine what life was like back in the old days. Children love the place too, plenty to see and explore. Read moreThis railroad museum has a fantastic toy train set up for kids to watch. I have come to this every year I could since it opened and each time they have improved upon it. You get to ride on a train ride, watch a movie, see the an older train (even ring the bell) visit a round house. Overall a great place to visit for a morning or afternoon with or without kids. My mother bought a pass and brings her grandkids here all the time. They never gets bored, especially with the toy train building.
