Harvey’s — Restaurant in Sioux City

Delivery of food to the table was fast. Wasn't the best tasting in the world. We are traveling from out of state & some karen called "animal rescue" because we left our dogs in the vehicle IN THE SHADE with the windows down. It was cooler in the vehicle than outside of the vehicle. Whether it be the employees, someone patronizing the restaurant, or just someone who lives near by, know that you won't be left alone when going to the restaurant. Apparently the people in this area do not mind their own business, even when others already have their own situations handled just fine. Less stars for Harvey's not allowing pets in the business, less stars for the problems you'd run into if you happen to stop here. Would not recommend even putting yourself in the position to have problems by going to this place. Obviously someone will cause problems for you. The server didn't even know anything about the foods they served either. Didn't know what type of lettuce was used for their greens salad, didn't know how the food was prepared, etc. For crying out loud the question was about mashed potatoes. We didn't have a good time here & we won't be back. Too much happened in the little trip to get food that it doesn't...

Me and my fiancé made the decision to eat here, and I thought it was going to be good.. however it turned into a nightmare.

First off, the place had trash/old napkins all over the floor. Our table was sparkling clean, however we had to move trash from under our shoes.

One thing I noticed that absolutely ruined my experience at this particular restaurant, was the amount of flies in and around the diner. We ended up moving booths due to 5-10 flies swarming around us.

Our waitress seemed to not care about her job, or her customers, however she did check up on us frequently and offered refills every 15 mins.

The food was good. It really was. Also, the menu is easy, simple, and straightforward, which makes it easier to read & doesn’t try to sell you more than what you pay for. Pricing was very cheap, and it deserves higher prices.

First time here. I don't think they get a lot of first timers here. I kind of had to ask about everything. I walked in a side door right as a waitress was walking out of kitchen w food. Darn near collided with her. I had to make my way to the front for someone to tell me to sit wherever I wanted. I had to ask for coffee refill, silverware, and also my toast. The waitress seemed a little distracted or maybe not use to someone asking for certain things? Idk...I am happy I tried a new place to eat on my business travels, but probably wouldn't go back unless I didn't have another option. I also asked for a receipt and noticed there was an extra .98 cents added to my bill and I honestly have no idea what it was...
