Sahalie Falls Viewpoint — Attraction in Sisters

The viewpoints here are absolutely stunning!!! The marked trails and viewing spots are fairly easy to access. It is wheelchair accessible to the first viewpoint of the waterfall. The banks of the river are very slippery, and traction on footwear is recommended. The trails lead through the forest, alongside the river and waterfall, and is on a gradual decline/incline hill. Some areas are very steep, so be careful with pets and children. This place is family and pet friendly.

We got here at 10am on a Friday, with several parking spaces available. By 11am the parking lot is full and the overflow parking is extended alongside the main road.

This is the only takeaway from this beautiful place, and I hope they can change this in the near future.... I don't recommend using the restrooms here. They are not flushable and more like an out house. There is no hand washing stations here, either. I highly suggest you find a nearby campground with better...

This hike was breathtaking. I am so glad my family and I got the opportunity to visit this amazing place. The first half of the hike is extremely family friendly. There are paths leading the the perfect picture spots which is very helpful. Once you get down to the lake and start heading back up the loop it gets a bit trickier. It's uphill and a bit more uneven. It is still worth the hike if you are up for the bit of a challenge. It does loop around but we found it to be a bit confusing to know where to go. It takes a bit longer on the second half of the trail then it does on the first because it goes up a bit past the parking lot and then loops back down. I've been here more than any other place in Oregon and I love it just the same if not more each time. It is beautiful and relaxing from the natural sounds from the waterfall and the surrounding natural environment. If you like to hike and explore its always fun to go even if you have been before because I have personally discovered something new each time I go. Many people have carved their initials into the wooden handrails and it was always fun to visit the falls again and look for the previous ones from years prior with the family!
