The area for walking is far shorter than I had hoped (maybe .2 miles, being generous), but this place is so special. It reminds me of the bird sanctuaries in New Mexico, where birds from the North fly south to every winter. This place is teaming with birds!!!! I have no notion of why, but I have never seen so many birds in one place in New England! Do be ware that your wheels or your feet will have to dodge goose poop (be it on the path or the grass), but it is worth it to watch them play over the tiny waterfall at the end of the path. I haven’t seen unleashed dogs here, which makes me happy, and it is super calm! The only people I’ve seen were fishing in the calm area where the water falls into. Lovely place to just be and hear the birds and let your eyes feast on GREEN. It would be fun to take a boat out here!!! Plenty of parking and handicapped reserved spots. The path is paved and decently level.

If you live in Lincoln, you should check out this area. It is just a short drive (7 mins) from the mall. I took a stroll here and sat on the rocks to watch the geese and water. It is very peaceful! Although I have yet fish here, the fishermen seemed to be having a good time. There is a launch pad that you can bring your canoe, kayak, or small boat too! 😉😍

Unless you're fishing and have no small children, I wouldn't really recommend this area of the pond. I went to take a walk and it's pretty but there's not enough "sidewalk" space or length and as a non-swimmer, no rails make me nervous. Lastly, people please take your trash with you... Sadly, it's usually adults who know better that don't do better.

Scenic And Relaxing Area to Just Sit by the Resavior, or to Fish. If you Go to the Left side, and Then Down to the Estuary, then Take a look Up to the Fishing Area, it has the Look of Being at the ocean and just has a Calming, Affect. I suggest Following the Walking Trails to the Right which Follows the Shoreline of the Pond and is Just as Beautiful as the Rest of the Area. There are Small Areas that you can use to Swim at or Just Rest along The Way. A True Nature Lovers Recreational area That will...

I've only been to this pond at night to get some good pictures of the moon. It's a great place with little light pollution so you can get great sky pictures. Water seems a little low quality like others said, but I wasn't there for the water. The concrete walking area is a great place to sit and hang out. Definitely worth the stop to eat some lunch or midnight snack...
