Flat, scenic, perfect if you’re on wheels. Not a week goes by that I don’t skate here. I will say, if you’re on roller skates, I can’t recommend going much further than 5 miles down the trail, or past the silver comet bike shop (which is also great). The terrain gets a little bumpy even for my soft outdoor wheels. I find the distance from the Mavell trail head to the bike shop to be the perfect distance (9-10 miles round trip) and refreshingly downhill on the way back (+a beginner friendly decline for sure). From there, it continuous as Chief Ladiga Trail until Anniston. Parking - Arrived at the parking lot on a Saturday morning 7AM. Had lot of open slots Run level - I used to run on roads and felt this is easy as its mostly flat. Lot of trees and birds sounds felt good. I did a 10mile run and 70% of the time didnt hear any vehicle noise, this felt so good being a road runner.
