Shame on me for finding the one waffle house on a Saturday that wasn't slammed and maybe I understand why now. I just stopped in earlier this afternoon with my family for a quick and easy lunch. I basically grew up in the waffle house off of Atlanta road by 285 and Ms. Virginia took care of me and my family for many years before she passed from lung cancer. Waffle house is known for it's warm welcoming atmosphere where they treat you like family and you get a good quick meal. The food was fine as always, but the service I received today was the antithesis of Waffle House service. 3 booths were open and there was no rush to clean them. once one got cleaned for us, we wondered over without any invitation or "hey I'll take you over here". Sat down, took our full drink and food order at once. No problem. We got our drinks, and then started waiting. My 2 kids started reading books that we bring to keep them occupied while we shortly wait for food, and I watch the kitchen perform a very unorganized dance of to go orders. 10 minutes go by and our first waitress slumbers over and says "I haven't called in your food and wanted to double check". which I appreciate, but surely this could've been addressed 5-8 minutes ago. I'm not even sure when the order was called in, but another 5 minutes go by and our server says " I have to go to my other job, this other lady will take care of you" Should she have taken our table if she was planning to leave? debatable. another 10 minutes later and she brings my food, half of my wife's food and leaves. Ok great. We'll get a head start before helping our kids with their meals. Our hashbrowns had missing ingredients and we ate peacefully until we realized, our kids food never came out with the rest of my wife's meal. I politely get her attention and before I could ask she said, "did y'all get your waffle yet?" Well we ordered 2. one for my kids to split and one for my wife and no. I guess our table wasn't visible from 6 feet away, but there was no evidence that we ever had waffles. I ask for them in a to go box in fear of further delays. We get 1 waffle. I ask them to take off the second due to it was never served. Paid. Got a weak apology and left. Long story short. Do not go to a Waffle House that doesn't look busy. It likely isn't for a good reason, and maybe the waffle house experience is no longer friendly and good service at the booth but now a few clicks on the app. Very unfortunate. Id rather wait for a REAL waffle house than immediately sit down at...

Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had at a Waffle House I have ever had. To say that the service was horrible would be an understatement. Our food was brought out one item at a time. The server brought my sausage to me as I was standing in line to pay. One customer was upset because her server never brought her and her 3 sons their food. She went to the cashier and asked if she could just get the food she ordered to go due to the server never coming back. The server started yelling at the customer saying "you no better than me" time & time again. A manager had to take the server to the back away from all of the customers. This was not the only customer issues that were taking place while we were there. There were numerous customers complaining of the length of time it was taking to get there food. None of the servers showed any sign of caring what level of service they provided to the customers. The place...
