Don’t get me wrong, McWay beach is BEAUTIFUL. Totally worth the stop if you happen to be driving by. Would I drive a hour out of my way to see it? Nope. It’s a 15-30 minute park, walk down, take a few pictures and leave. You can’t walk down to the beach and in photos everyone takes the same spot. If you want a different view hike up the road on the south side to where the campground is and you can get a close up view of the top of the falls. Just look for the dirt road on the other side of where everyone else is and follow that up…about 5...

Stunning View, it looks like the view came out of the movie. The water is so blue and the waterfall is somewhat tiny but refreshing to see. The trail is very short, dont even bother parking at the pfeiffer lot cos it cost $10. Just park on the sideroad cos it will only take u 5min to hike to the waterfall. Its not allowed to go down the beach, dare or u will pay a big chunk of fine. Its a must to come here and see this magnificient view. Alot more attractions...

Disappointed, there were no way to go down to the waterfall , it’s too far to watch and it has a lot of tourists. The trail next to it has been closed for a while now . So basically there is nothing to do on the spot . Only if u camping around, it’s nice to take a pic. And there few nice campgrounds that has better view to the ocean . ...

The falls have been falling for more than a century and even though it’s a thin stream, the play of falling fresh water with the salty water waving and engulfing it into the pacific is such a beauty to experience. The beach isn’t accessible to my knowledge. The view from the cliff is as good as it gets and that’s all is needed.
