Short trail and great views of waterfalls. I had a great time talking with the park ranger on the trail, very kind and knowledgeable about the area including the other state parks in the area and fun activities you can do. As of Jan 2025 the trail is closed halfway through but you still can get a great view of the waterfall. Best is to get the daily use tags from the pfeiffer state park station about 12 miles north of this trail head, the kiosk at the trailhead is usually not staffed and they don’t accept credit cards, only cash. Parking lot is rather small but there are two lots. Nice and clean bathroom on site.

Fun, easy hike to view.

This short hike was beautiful. There was a surprising amount of parking, nice bathrooms, two trailheads, and a nice beach view. We pulled in and realized that you needed cash to pay for the parking, the bathrooms were nice, and when the hike began we found out that most of the trail was closed. But, the best part was still available to hike to and admire. I would definitely recommend going anytime.

Beautiful view. The bathrooms at the trailhead are being remodeled so they only have porta potties. Please hike down the trail to see the waterfall and don't just park your car on the side of the road and look down please. Also you can't hike to the waterfall, only to see it from the cliffs. Hiking to the waterfall itself is dangerous and illegal. You...
