Our Lady of Solitude Church — Attraction in Soledad

We stopped by on a Saturday evening because of the Highway 1 detour. We were about an hour early for Mass and we met Henry who was very friendly and told us to come back for mass. We decided to drive around for a bit. This town is clean and charming. When we got back to Our Lady of Solitude Reuben greeted us in front of the church and gave us a tour. Reuben asked if we would bring up the gifts at mass. It was our great honor and memory from our California trip. Very friendly and welcoming Priest and community. Highly recommend this church. Nice, small town church, well maintained. Was there for a Confirmation ceremony(reason for small observation). It was pretty much standing room only, suggest you get there early if you want a seat, for confirmations/wedddings/funerals/baptisms, any cermonies which draw a large crowd.A little chilly, bring a coat, found out much later warmest seats next to candles at the back...

Best mass I've ever attended is with Father Claudio. He is the reason I felt welcomed to the Church and continued to attend. He is the BEST!! Office management needs to be a bit more compassionate and friendly when dealing with the public because they represent the Church, but the staff is great and outweighs management.
