This is one of the more beautiful spots of Middlesex County , not limited to a few , there is many . On to the fishing characteristics.. This spot has MONSTER Chain Pickerel (& naturally smaller offerings of the species as well) . It is also a very productive location for Large-mouth Bass . With respect to LM Bass , I go through the usual 1 lb offering here and you do get a few 2lb interval as well . I caught a behemoth late February however broke my line , i would have loved to get a weight on that one. This is with respect to the larger body of water. There is also a smaller pond next to the parking area which is PERFECT for bass as well , I'm 50/50 on loving it just yet as there is a lot of foliage and items in the water which will cost you if you throw lures only like I do. Read moreThis is one of the few perks of this area. Since moving here about 2 years ago from north Jersey, this is a place I’ve come to often, especially with my dog. We love all the trails, the hiking, the lake. It’s one of our favorite places. As someone going through a life tsunami due to several family members’ incurable health issues, I often come here for solace and peace. The trails are mostly accessible for all except some small trails thru the woods and the one by the lake, which I won’t recommend for people with walking disabilities.
There’s another trail thru the field by the entrance parking lot, where you will get to use the boardwalks in the woods. But use cautions after rain as they turn really very slippery.
