This is a great museum! And the women working here are so wonderful. My husband and I were happy to stop here on our road trip before they closed and unfortunately I left my purse (which I normally don’t carry) in the bathroom stall. Even though we walked around inside the museum for a long while checking out all of the displays, it didn’t occur to me that I didn’t have my purse until after we had driven off and they had closed for the day. I anxiously called them the next morning as soon as they opened and the sweet ladies there had found it and kept it safe, letting me know over the phone of all my belongings (a few hundreds worth) I had stashed in there. They offered to mail it to me in Florida and didn’t even ask for postage money until I insisted. I received it recently with all of my belongings inside. It is also an excellent introduction to other things to see and then more detailed manner then one gets at the rest areas. Thirdly it is a good start because there's a large parking area which is great if you have a motorhome or a camper. It is peaceful there and one gets to look at a piece of History without being shoved Along by the crowd. They also have some very interesting books about history in the area that are for sale. Yes, it has many things for purchase and most of it was quite nice and reasonably priced. Look deeper and you will find the history about the home and the surrounding area. It is a quick detour off of exit 33 on 95. Stop at the Wendy's take it to go and head across the road to the Frampton House. They have picnic tables in the back under a gorgeous Live Oak.
