This was disappointing. The location is a p.i.t.a. to get to. The parking was fine. The CLIMB up the steps was not expected. I've climbed most of the lighthouses on the east coast, which most are much taller than this, the steps of those lighthouses are a pleasant walk compared to this. And the payoff of the view... go check out the aforementioned lighthouses. The view was OK. It is autumn, so there are fewer leaves in the trees, so the view is probably better now than in summer. If you're bored, don't mind stairs, don't have bad knees or vertigo. It IS solidly built. There are secure handrails that I recommend you use, especially coming down. Maybe if they had a zipline for coming down, over Rt 1...
