Heavenly Valley Townhouses — Attraction in South Lake Tahoe

We stayed at Heavenly Valley Townhouses just recently and it was the best mini-vacation we could have dreamed for. Both Karen and Rose were awesome hosts and every minute from check-in to check-out was just perfect! The unit was very large (3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms). All were very spacious and comfy! They are decorated to make you feel right at home while full of rustic details for you to enjoy! The resort is very centrally located! Just a few whisps around the blocks and down the glorious hills and you are in the center of it all! The beautiful fireplace added the extra touch we needed since we don't have that back in Miami where we are from. Our family of 6 had more than sufficient room. The wifi worked great! The TV entertainment was right on cue and the kitchen was filled with everything you need to create a great breakfast or dinner to share with your family. Even the housekeeper was as courteous and pleasant as could be expected! I have been to Tahoe several times in the past, but never knew of this rustic gem! We stayed here for two nights in July 2024. Tahoe had been experiencing a heat wave and I wanted to cancel one week before leaving. I was worried about not having AC and being miserable. Karen (the property owner) made it clear that cancellations were not allowed.

Upon arriving we noticed the hard floors, bathrooms and linens were clean. Rooms were also spacious.

Unfortunately, those were the only positive things about this townhouse.

This is a very old property and it shows. Nothing inside has been updated. Rooms felt old, outdated and sparse. The room with twin beds had no wall decorations and no closet doors. Also no TV.

Sink in the bathroom didn't drain well, beds were uncomfortable, street noise was loud and annoying. Big trucks were passing due to construction up the road. Fans provided did very little to make the property comfortable. Carpet needs to be replaced. Couches downstairs were old and uncomfortable.

I don't plan on returning to this property. Management wasn't flexible or accommodating. Property was uncomfortable and the lack of AC in the summer has been a frequent complaint amongst other reviews. Clearly they don't care about the comfort of...

In Heavenly two weeks. First week is just my wife and me to settle in, next is entertaining friends and family-which when skiing means plenty of room, walk to lifts, facilities for meals without needing restaurants. RCI award winning HVT have all in spades making this another blue sky paradise breathing fresh air and taking in the workd's most beautiful lake. Special shout out to Karen, the perfect general manager. In our travels ahead of here my wife lost her purse (panic) but it was found and shipped back. Playing it safe sent it to HVT as it was my final, longest stretch. Knowing it might get in early coordinated with Karen who went beyond the call of duty to make sure it was safely gathered in. Stopped by early today to pick up and when I was there handled all pre-check-in paperwork so that Karen just needs to text me check in details. She even is putting requested safe key in the unit.
