Sign Hill Park — Attraction in South San Francisco

We love finding a good hiking trail close to home! The view is totally worth it! I had my hopes up that we'd be able to at least see all of the letters of the sign, if not walk around and explore them a bit. Unfortunately it's way to steep for that. Plus there are only a handful of places where you can even access them. If you aren't careful you could almost miss seeing them at all! We'll be back again though, if only for the view! Oh yeah, one more thing, we parked in the lot at the top of the hill at the beginning of the Ridge Trail. There are only 8 parking spots there and more then have of them were filled with people smoking pot. The stench was overwhelming, but at least they had the courtesy to roll up their windows while we were buckling...

Great spot for a short hike with some awesome views of the bay and South SF (if you go on a clear day). The trails are short but there are some serious inclines so you can still get a little workout in.

Also this isn't like the Hollywood sign. Don't expect to be able to take a selfie with the whole sign in the background while on the trail. Although this might be obvious for everyone else except for me since the sign's letters aren't...

Magnificent views of Bay area, South of SF. Steep paths, especially around the signs. Wear shoes with good grips if you plan on going near the letters written on the hill.
