This trail has a paved road that goes straight up then curves toward the Christmas tree at the top of Sign Hill. This moderate hike is about 1 mile to the peak, though some people will find the steepness difficult. Along the way, there are garbage cans (keep the hill clear of litter) and trail paths for other views of SSF. There's a small 7-car parking lot before the trail begins that usually has spots available.
If you hike around April, you might see caterpillars everywhere so be careful where you step. They transform into butterflies around May/June.
