El Palenque Taqueria, has many tasty meals and great prices. There are 2 Palenque Taqueria's. Both are owned by the same person and as a result, the food at both places are consistent with one another. The 1st Palenque Taqueria opened in San Mateo and the 2nd Palenque Taqueria opened in SSF. The Carne Asada Tortas (Sandwich) are great for a take out meal, but if you want to sit down and eat, I recommend the Taco plate which comes with a side of rice and beans. I was craving a burrito after work and wanted to try a different Mexican restaurant instead of ordering from one of the same 100s I've eaten at before throughout the Peninsula. I called and placed an order for pick up. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Burrito with everything on it. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. this place sucks.ntn but dry meat and employees that have staring problems!! I had to give my order twice bc the first lady ddnt do it correct and after recieving my food i was missing 1 of my shrimp and steak burritos the steak was really dry and was low quality! Maybe if the cooks would pay attention to the food cooking instead of starring hard at the costumers and watching the soccer games on the television.i dnt recomend this...
