We found a hidden gem to visit! It has a nature center displaying over 75 taxidermy from around the world! A large insect collection. While we were there, a lab was collecting bee Specimens! They have a bird observation window. The Cornell University was there counting different types of birds. School age children will love it. They have a nature discovery camp for kids over the summer. They have 9 nature trails to enjoy. Bring a snack & drink. You could have a stroller or wheelchair but no dog, horse, or bike. They have educational programs for everyone. Maple Sugaring Time! Bring your family on certain dates for the experience! We enjoyed watching them make the maple syrup. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids. You had the chance to taste the syrup. There were things to do inside as well as outside. You can learn about the research on the trees with bees & insects. You could hear the spring peepers (chorus frogs),babbling brook, and kids laughing!

Lots of scenic trails. Lots of wildlife to see. Nice nature center. Gift shop with cool stuff for the kids of all ages. We love coming here alot. The nature tours are great. We recently went on a tree identification tour given by Carter was awesome and very informative. Looking forward to more nature tours. They're free and fun.

Really great park with a natural world museum, a variety of trails at different difficulties, and a creek with turtles and fish and lots of interesting things to see! A great place to bring kids and the museum is free too!

This is my favorite place to take my kiddos, they have a wonderful huge nature center with so much to see, read, and learn and each time we go theres usually a few new things to see and learn. Also love the creek area with an exploration trail for the kids to play in and explore. The butterfly garden area is also so pretty even when out of season the kids and i love to walk through it. The maple sugaring event is another huge favorite of ours, lots of hands on and informative stuff on those days as well as samples of syrup and syrup to buy too. The trails are also great, they have an alphabet trail which is wonderful for the kids, informational bits all along the trails on small signs if youre paying attention as you hike. The trails are also nice because theres different trails some more quick and simple and others that add a little more of a challenge and much longer. Some trails take you through marshy areas, others through the woods, and some through the feilds. All year round its beautiful and so full of wild life. I will forwarn, on the days the natire center is closed there is not bathroom, so we go when its open. Also as others have mentioned, no dogs or horses allowed, there are signs from the entrance of the drive back at the head of every trail and at the main parking lots stating this as well as no bike on the trails also. However i personally add that to my reasons to love this park, its the only park i know that has this restriction their reason being for safety and because they have alot of environmental stuff going on for educational porposes but for me it frees up worry of my kids and i stepping in dog doo or people litering the trails with poo bags which is very prevelent at other parks. Hopefully this helps encourage others to get out and explore this...

Really awesome pare and center for kids and adults. Literally of of the few fun and educational places in york county. Too bad its named for Nixon whose drug bills and acts have been destroying our nation since they were signed. In fact the reason they were created as his aide testified President Nixon saying "we cant make it illegal to be black , mexican or poor dirty white hippies so we will make everything they do illegal and put them on probation to keep putting them in jail for just being alive"

Taking tax payers out of the tax pool while flushing tax payer funds down the toilet to lock those same citizens up for petty non-violent, non-sexual joke crimes. All the while IN YORK COUNTY 4 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS BEEN turning a blind eye to admitted child rapists. Giving them no bail to walk free NEVER STEPPING A FOOT IN THE MONEY SCAM THAT IS YCP but making bails high enough so someone growing a HARMLESS plant SITS IN JAIL FOR 8 MONTHS WAITING TO...
