Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Certainly, one of the highlights of our trip!! The butterfly house is run by volunteers and I met a lovely woman who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the place! Despite the high temperatures, these dedicated, selfless folks are willing to volunteer and help out.
She explained that they even breed the native butterflies! There was also a white, transparent container made of some type of netting that had moths in it that someone local to the area brought in!

Read moreWe actually came to this area specifically for the butterfly house, because we saw it with the Japanese garden on the map. We didn't realize it was part of a much larger park. The butterfly house is a great feature and I like how laid back it is compared to other traditional butterfly houses. We actually had questions about the structure and reached out to someone who answered us, so that was even better. The butterfly house even has mature pawpaw trees that bare fruit!
