What a beautiful garden for free city park. Came in the offseason, mid-april, and even though there wasn't a lot in bloom, there was still enough greenery and flowers starting the girls that the air smelled floral and sweet. Lots of nice pathways to explore and walk around. Encountered a few groundskeepers and employees, and all were friendly. Would love to come back Inn season to explore and see some of the things that were closed on the offseason such as the Butterfly House. There were a few areas that had to cost, such as the Japanese garden, but plenty to explore for free. Lots of parking, and on-site free restrooms during park hours- sunrise to sunset.

I went with a group of friends and it was a lot of fun! We visited the park to go to the Butterfly House but it didn’t open for another two weeks. The website said the house opened in May. It was May 5 when we went. My friends and I decided to explore the park anyways. There were several plants, including plant labels. There was a lake and a cute bridge. The park had several benches and rocking chairs. We also found some Springfield Rocks, which was so neat! Many photographers were taking family pictures at the park. This is would be a great venue for a wedding.

We thought we were going to just one flower garden when in reality this is a giant park that has several different botanical gardens. You can also go to the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden it's only five dollars and it's beautiful. There's a Japanese tea house to check out. Wisteria island looks beautiful then walk across a Coi pond on Moon Bridge. Back out into the other gardens there's a butterfly habitat you .ay go in and look at several species of butterfly and a table set up with well informed people to

What a great place. Very clean and beautiful. It's much bigger than it looks. This park has no charge to enter. I would have given 5 stars but bathroom facilities wasn't easily found. This is worth a visit to see all the beauty and to get out and get walking/exercise in. We stopped through on our way to Branson and wanted to nose around and get out of the motel room, glad we found this gem. We don't have anything like this back home. Very nice!!

This place is beautiful and huge so much I didn't get to see all of it. They have events celebrations and public Tours for anyone who wants to do it. They will teach you about Missouri Natives Plants a master's of it is available Spring to Fall. There's a Japanese Garden Park there as well I haven't seen myself yet since I was late in the year to discover it and in the winter they have to shut up the area in the cold weather.
