Rum River Park is a delightful escape in the heart of nature. Nestled along the scenic Rum River, this park offers a serene environment perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. The park's extensive trails provide excellent opportunities for hiking, biking, and leisurely strolls, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the lush surroundings. The well-maintained picnic areas and playgrounds make it an ideal spot for family outings and gatherings. Water activities are a highlight at Rum River Park, with ample opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. The calm river waters and picturesque views create a relaxing backdrop for a day on the water. Overall, Rum River Park is a gem for those seeking a peaceful retreat and a chance to connect with nature. Whether you're there for a quick hike, a picnic, or a day of paddling, the park's natural beauty and recreational offerings make it a standout destination.

This is a wonderful, extremely clean park in St. Frances that has many wonderful amenities! It's a great place to launch your kayak or canoe and float the Rum River to Anoka.  This park is an extremely clean park and has a playground for children, restrooms, wonderful extensive paved walking trails through the woods and along the river, large pavilions along with picnic areas and many picnic tables, bbq grills, fishing, lots of wildlife, several river observation decks, and some of the largest trees I've seen in Minnesota. There are so many areas that provide amazing photo backdrops. Come check it out for a wonderful day with nature!!

I just love this north part of the park. I discovered it one weekend when I was visiting my friend in Isanti for the weekend and I brought my dog. We decided to stop at the park on my way back to the cities as my girl is a big swimmer! The best thing about this entrance is it's free!! Because it's notthe Central Park entrance and considered a fishing pier and canoe access you don't have the state park fee. A great walking trail, probably a mile. I didn't do the trail only the beginning. There is a Pavilion, a playground and a fishing Pier. A fabulous spot along the river! I highly recommend making a stop, a Hidden Gem!
