Healthy Hangout — Local services in St. Francis

The owner is pretty involved and motivated to provide healthy options for the community. Not just in food form, but weekly exercise classes. I stopped in for Saturday morning yoga and was unexpectedly impressed (and sore). The sessions are "free" (you are encouraged to purchase a shake). You aren't pressured into signing up for any kind of commitment, which is what I was worried about.

The catch: Herbalife has had some bad PR in the past, which stinks, because this place is pretty cool. Some people legitimately question how healthy the shakes are because of their past lawsuits with lead poisoning, which was corrected in 2008 and should no longer pose a safety risk. It's pretty hard for a business to recover from contamination of their food with something as hazardous as lead. And frankly, the owner of the hangout is relying on the safety of the mixes just as much as we are.

Other lawsuits have to do with the corporate business operations, which really sucks for the privately owned franchises like the Healthy Hangout.

The bottom line: Herbalife is a meal replacement. This doesn't mean you should drink it every day!!!! You still need a well rounded diet of UNPROCESSED foods. One shake after your weekly yoga class is most likely beneficial to your health ;) I'm excited to see what else this place...

It's all powdered drink mix that you're paying way too much for. Tastes awful. Despite what the owner says, I have visited back during the opening week. Hence it's how I found out about the scam. You can report my review all you like, but it stands still because it's a valid complaint from a paying customer.

Also a front for Herbalife which is a massive MLM and has been sued by the US government over misleading the public with these very storefronts and settled for...

A great place to grab a delicious healthy shake, coffee, or treat. Many options and verities, something for everyone. Very genuine service, and ownership shows sincere passion to ensure customers are happy and have a positive experience.

Don’t get caught up in the negative comments about Herbalife or MLM, you can just go here simply for a tasty and nutritious option. I enjoy their products and it’s nice to have something different that I can quickly stop and pickup...
