This park has several amenities for everyone! Their is a beautiful pond with a fountain that always has several ducks roaming around.. it’s directly in the middle of the park & it separates the two sides of the park. To access the two different playgrounds (both sides of the park) their is a small wooden bridge going over the pond. Their is also a small dock that you can walk upon to look out over the water at the opposite end of the pond. On each side their is also shelters that cover picnic tables & grills. Their is access to plug ins for use of power. Perfect for birthday parties, baby showers or get togethers with family. For the colder months their is also fireplaces that could potentially be used with firewood to stay warm. Large metal bench like swings with foot plates are located on the left & right sides of the park. They can accommodate elder adults or parents with smaller children who aren’t quite at the stage to swing by themselves. Their is bathrooms & a small parking lot on both sides. Their is a walking trail thats located on the backside of the park, it’s in a secluded (woods) area. The playgrounds & swing sets are in a sanded area. They have double slides, monkey bars & swings for kids of all ages. Their is a rock climbing area on one of the playgrounds. This park also has a good amount of grassy areas wether it’s for picnics or gorgeous scenery for photos. I’m a mother with kids that ranges through ages 3-8 & I definitely...

We had a SPECIAL CHURCH GATHERING ❣️ Reserved 2 covered shelters there to accommodate our whole group & invited a congregation from Hickory, NC. The restrooms were near by, play area close by & plenty of NICE, clean picnic tables in working order & area to grill if needed...just A GREAT SET UP. Singing our HYMNS in worship to FATHER GOD sounded so pretty bouncing off the gentle landscape & Creek running along near by. We sing ACAPELLA in Worship at North View Church of Christ on Amity Hill Rd here in STATESVILLE. So come join us THERE, too, for Bible study & MORE singing❣️ The speaker was a guest from a HICKORY congregation & said they had no problem finding this park & enjoyed the experience❣️ We've used it before & am sure we will again. Thanks to the City if Statesville Parks & Recreation Division❣️And, PLEASE COME WORSHIP with US at NORTH VIEW CHURCH OF CHRIST in Amity Hill Rd.❣️ We'd LOVE TO...

This is a great park. There is a pond and lots of ducks but no swimming in the pond. There is a little wooden bridge that crosses the pond and two play areas, one on each side of the pond. Plenty of swings with 2 swing sets with swings for baby and older children. There are also swings for adults that can hold 4 or 5 people. There is a gazebo and a water spout. There are two large covered picnic areas with fireplace, grills and lots of picnic tables. You can rent these for a party or reunion. There are bathrooms on both sides of the pond also. This is a great place to take pictures and popular for prom pics. There are also walking trails in the woods. The only negative is that they changed the name this year. For 40 years this was called Lakewood park and it should still be that way. But overall it's a great park...
