Gorgeous falls in July! Pretty busy on the 4th, but that's to be expected for such an accessible spot. The pool is swimmable, if cold; dogs are welcome; the path is mostly level and relatively short, and it culminates in a set of 4 stone steps that lead to uneven basalt ground that is flat in some places and slippery in others. That basalt leads you right to the pool. The creek then runs down into several shallow pools before going around some logs and becoming steeper. Lots of little ones exploring the main area, a few sturdy logs to sit on, many small flat spaces perfect for sitting. Gets great afternoon sun while not lacking shade-- the canyon runs east-west and the falls...

Short and plain walk from the parking lot, in the opposite direction from the North falls. These are less crowded, but are still very beautiful. There is no cave to go behind it, but still it is very nice. You can actually dip your feet in the water while enjoying the views, the sounds and the tranquility of this place. come here in late spring to see the maximum flow of water, and do no go without visiting the North falls too either before or...

This is probably one of my favorite locations for waterfalls that we've visited in the PNW so far. Every one of the falls in this area is so amazing! We also most overlooked this area, and I'm so glad we decided to come...
