
I live down the street from the park.I truly enjoy taking my granddaughter there for a treat.Its a great park there's a play ground there for the kids weather there big or small kids.you can also walk over to the running spring and feed or just enjoy the ducks.i love the ducks there.theres a Pavillion for picnics or birthday party's with electric outlets and BBQ's. Read moreI got my senior photos done here. It's such a pleasant park for how small it is. The ducks are quite the novelty, however you gotta watch out for the poop lol. (fun fact-ducks poop every 15 minutes)They sometimes follow you around as you first arrive. I will say that there is a leak on the border around the spring. It sometimes floods, so it should be considered that there may be a slipping hazard here at times. Despite that, it's one of my favorite places to go to find solitude. The ducks love: fresh or frozen peas, mixed vegetables, corn, green beans; dried cracked corn; instant or old fashioned oats/oatmeal; watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, bananas. Commercial duck feed is always a good choice and healthy for them.
Bread is unfortunately not good for them and will make them sick if they eat too much of it. Feeding the ducks is fun and somewhat of a town pastime, but please help keep them healthy for your enjoyment and their sake!
