We had a little impromptu tour which was very cool, informative, and fun. The old carriages and cabins were so neat to look at. The tour guide was interactive and told us a bit about so many of the different items and buildings/areas. Super cool! We had another unprecedented adventure trying to find a missing piece of my son’s action figure that he lost along the tour. Read moreAlthough it is free I recommend leaving a donation in the front office to help with the upkeep and restoration of the big green victorian house you'll see next to the office. Make sure to sign in on the sign in sheet at the carriage house I think it was called that. Signing in helps them stay open because the city can see they bring tourism. You can walk around by yourself but if you want to see the inside of any buildings you have to ask the staff at the office; the door was jammed when we went so make sure to knock. Read moreThe grounds are beautiful, and well kept. We had the pleasure of going for an annual plant sale and there were several vendors. The neatest thing about this place, in my opinion, is the black smithing forge, which they had up and running, to make plant hooks which were being given out for free. This museum is an excellent educational experience for young and old and it's saved several local landmarks from going by the wayside....
