I had attempted to purchase a brand new Crosley Washing Machine thru Fort Steuben Appliances. The Owner was very rude, hostile, and very unprofessional. We had issues with this brand new washer, I had called and had their service technician out yesterday and she claimed nothing was wrong with it. However, the water levels were not high enough to even soak the clothes, tried to drain and spin a load of bedding which consisted of sheets, and thin blankets and ended up having to take them to a laundromat because it wouldn't spin them out. When contacting the owner today, he said he'd call me back within a half hour, however and hour went by and he did not call, he pushed it onto his delivery people. Gave wrong phone number to them, therefore I had no idea what was going on until they just showed up. Confirmed they had been given the wrong number, then said they had a new washer to deliver. All fine and dandy, however the owner did not take care of his customer, not this customer at least because other customers were more important. Is it because they where making a purchase and not dealing with an issue or problem with a purchase as I was? Who knows. Then, we go out to just tell the delivery driver to come take this one, we didn't want it replaced, and he told us I have waited to long, I have another delivery in town, and have to get there. Needless to say, still have the washer without a solution. Called the company I am leasing the washer thru to have it resolved.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called and set an appointment time. They were late and called to reschedule to a later time. We agreed and they were also late for the second time. They again called to reschedule for the following day, to which I agreed to a 10 AM time. Again they were late by almost an hour. They charged $300 and when I asked about only paying $250 because they were late 3 times in 2 days I was told by them "I'm doing you a favor by fixing your washing machine". I called and spoke to the owner who pretty much reiterated what the technician had said. I had no choice as to pay the $300 for the favor they had so graciously did. So understand that is the way they run their business, they are doing you a favor and not working to a level of quality that is acceptable. That was my first and last experience with them, and will be using Sears next time.
Edit Reply: You were not the only one that would fix the washing machine, Sears was more than willing to but I choose your small business instead. And I was not rude to your daughter and talked to you the same way I talked to her. If you wish to slander and lie about the experience that is fine, that says more to your character than mine. You display horrible business practices and that's the reason you have a 3 star review. They do not return calls and also will schedule a tech to come out and when you take the day off work to sit there and wait they dont show up (on 3 different occasions)! Finally my husband had to call and be stern to get them to come put our fridge in the house!! Just to get cussed out by one of the employees who proceeded to tell my husband he was going to "split his wig"!! Very bad business!! After 5 days and many phone calls (to them, NEVER returned) we finally got someone to come out to put the fridge inside. Now I guess I'm going to have a fight on my hands trying to get them to actually come fix the washer that we just got and cant use and also get a lent trap for the dryer!! I definitely regret spending the amount of money we did with them!!! Its sad that some of the other reviews are almost exactly what we are dealing with!! They do not care about customers unless it is to make the sale, then you are on your own!! Now I can say some of the employees are very polite and respectful and it was a pleasure dealing with them but that is the only nice...
