Schantz introduced me to an art form which I thought was basically Dale Chihuly type stuff (definitely lovely but not as much my cup of tea). But seeing all of the various forms of the art of glass was absolutely stunning. Haven’t invested in any art yet (or anything of value given I have a young child wreaking havoc at home) but when I do it will be glass and from Schantz. The staff were so informative and passionate about it - and my daughter was caught up in it too and got out her sketch book and sat on the floor and drew pics of the pieces. Bertil Vallien’s pieces were particularly stunning (OMG the Janus piece) as were Sidney Hutter’s. All amazing though. I started Blown Away on Netflix as I was exactly that after my visit!

I absolutely adored this place. So glad my boyfriend looked at the map and suggested we check it out before heading back to Providence on the 3rd. The staff there are sooo welcoming and knowledgeable. So much information about the background history behind the artists. Owning one of these AMAZING treasures is definitely something to aspire to (but if you can't own one go visit if just to marvel at the technique, colors, thought process and dedication of these artists). We will definitely come back to visit! p.s- I can't get the orange and grey/black piece out of my mind. Feels explosive! Like life on fire, in a good way!!

Small and not exactly welcoming. A little more difficult to find. Excellent pieces! Staff indifferent and ambivalent to visitors. Seemed to open up a bit and discuss the exhibits after my wife made them talk to her. Overall, at best, a mediocre experience. However, if you are nearby and enjoy glass art, I would say give it a go.

This was well worth the 3 hour drive, so many interesting works of art. Jim and Kim made us feel so welcome. We spent hours just being amazed at the talent of theses artists. Nancy Callan's works were especially nice.

A small gallery tucked away in a quaint town. Schantz Galleries is professional and kind. Their Chihuly selection is phenomenal for the size of venue. We enjoyed our visit and will treasure the sculpture we chose.

I love this gallery so much, and visit every time I’m in town. I am so sad to see it close. I saw my first Chihuly in-person at the Schantz! Wishing the owners well on their next endeavor.
