Great surprise cafe in this quaint, small town. Our party was all quite hungry after spending the morning at the local book sale and walking around so we stopped into this cafe for lunch. To our surprise the menu had a lot of options for all tastes! I got the hummus/veggie wrap (hummus, sprouts, lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes, served with salty tortilla chips) which was freshly prepared (no soggy tortilla!) and extremely tasty. So much so that my 8 year old ended up scarfing a full half of my lunch! The lentil soup, also vegan, was a perfect compliment to my (half!) wrap. Though I didn’t eat it the turkey club (a HUGE triple layer sandwich, also served with chips) was also well-appreciated. The ice tea was cold (& unsweetened!) and the lemonade also refreshed. My daughter drooled over the freshly baked chocolate chunk cookie she devoured for dessert. Many vegetarian options along with your classic cafe fare. Worth the stop!

I was going to let this go but google asked me how my visit was. I ordered a medium burger and a side order of the only potato they had. The burger was thin and frozen looking. Pretty flavorless. Highlight was the tomato and lettuce. Instead of a side order they replaced my "chips" and still uncharged me. My wife ordered the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. I've had these before but usually in a wrap format. This was pretty disappointing. The stuffing seemed to be made into patties ahead of time, left for a few days, and then served. The turkey was so thin it was hard to taste, which is probably a good thing. The "chips" it came with were tortilla chips. I have never seen that and honestly expected it to be some in house potato chips or something more cafe like. My wife had a strawberry Lemonade which was easily the worst of the 3 different ones she had that weekend. There was so much potential, but seriously skip this place.

Went for lunch and overall a great food and friendly staff. Just don't expect a quick in and out type meal. Since this is a tourist destination, they were quite busy. No to mention they had limited seating inside and out due to the pandemic. Enter through the doors of the Stockbridge General Store, and Main Street Cafe is on the left side. The kids all had and there were no complaints from them. Wife enjoyed her tuna melt, and I really enjoyed my Reuben. Also I recommend the New England Clam Chowder, as it was very good. We thought about trying one of their deserts, but was too full. Thought the pumpkin bread pudding, apple crisp, and pumpkin pie all looked very tempting. Will definitely be back again.

Spent a night down the street at the RED LION INN. Stopped here for lunch before departing for home. Fortunate to be able to grab the last empty table after viewing ice sculptures a few doors down. . Waiter was freindly and provided fast efficient service. I had the black bean/sweet potato burger and my wife the cajun chicken sandwich. Both of us also enjoyed a cup of tasty Italian Wedding soup. Sign of the times as two cups of soup and two sandwiches with no sides........no drinks , just water........plus a tip was $60. Overall a positive experience.
