Short Beach Golf Course — Attraction in Stratford

I used to play there all the time until about 10 years ago. It was a great course especially if you were a beginner or you had younger kids who wanted to play as the price was very reasonable. Since then the course seems to have gone down hill while the price for a non resident sky rocketed. The last time I was there it was $18.00 for a non resident for 9 holes. Mind you this is strictly a Par 3 golf course.I remember there was a time when the place was always packed. Every time I drive by there seems to be very few cars in the parking lot anymore. Good course and cheap, really want to like this course but it seems every time I come here their is always a problem with the staff. Booked a tee time only to see it was closed upon arrival. No notice to me and was still able to schedule a tee time. One time there one of the workers followed our group around half the course telling us what we were doing wrong. Town of Stratford !!!! Please take note do not play this course . According to their office personnel there is no dress code!! Witness young adults playing with shirts off. In Golf there is code and during a time of a pandemic sorry won’t be near this public course ever!! Mayor take note what a bad taste I got with the don’t care attitude to my concern.
