I visited here before the Memorial Day season open so entrance and parking were free. There is a lot of parking available. It was a gorgeous warm day in May 2025 and not at all crowded. Plenty of parking and beach area to walk or relax on. You can walk to the Audoban land from a part of the beach which is a level and easy walk that offers great views and a view of the Stratford Point Lighthouse. There are several pavilions for rent for get togethers. There are resident and non residents seasonal passes or a daily charge (more for non residents). There is also an adjacent golf course. it is a livelyovely setting and quite sure it's very popular and packed during the summer season, but opened all year long.

I recently visited this location to make videos for Parks Beaches & Drives on YouTube and TikTok. This is a great place to visit. It has a large sandy beach, pavilions with picnic tables, clean restrooms, a large sports complex, and a restaurant at the entrance. I highly recommend visiting Short Beach.

Very nice beach and park. Water is shallow, lots of sand flats at low tide to explore. Big playground for kids, Tennis Courts, too. Bathrooms available. Tidal Marsh area offers great birdwatching, but Town keeps encroaching into wooded area nearby, depriving migratory birds a haven. Loud music blaring is a problem when youth groups use...

LOVE this beach! It's very clean , not too crowded on a regular summer day and if you have paddle boards or kayaks this is the perfect place! If you do decide to paddle board or kayak , be sure to launch and stay on the right side of the group of large rocks they have in the water ( we were told by the life guard...
