A Perfect Birthday Celebration at the Museum!
Update: My daughter's 5th birthday party at the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center exceeded all expectations! The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, from the setup to wrapping up the event. The museum's layout was ideal, featuring benches in the middle of "Kid City" where parents could easily keep an eye on their children without hovering. The kids played harmoniously, with my daughter's 7-year-old cousin taking on the role of "manager" at the vet clinic and even using the Wells Fargo ATM to give her "employees" their first "paycheck."
The interactive activities, like playing behind the counter at the diner and taking turns at the HEB grocery store checkout, engaged both kids and adults. The imaginative play extended to cramming into a car, pretending to drive, and operating the ambulance while others tended to the patient in the back. Kid City was so captivating that the kids didn't even think to explore the rest of the museum until it was time to leave, stopping at each activity center along the way.
The birthday party was scheduled from 4-6 pm, the only timeframe allowed for private events, and it turned out to be a brilliant choice. As one parent wisely pointed out, the kids were having so much fun that they didn't want to leave, making the limited time frame a smart decision. Another parent humorously mentioned blaming the museum for leaving, using closing time as the perfect excuse.
In summary, it was the best party, and I'm thrilled I chose Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center. Unlike traditional trampoline and bouncy places that can be overwhelming for little kids, this venue offered a unique and enjoyable experience. I received numerous compliments from parents who were unaware that such a place hosted private birthday parties. My daughter's cousin from Spring, TX, is already planning to bring their kids back because they had such a fantastic time. As the party concluded, all the kids left with full tummies, giggles, and happiness, and the parents were equally content.

Read moreThis is an amazing place to take your little ones to. I have been taking my daughter to the downtown children's museum for the past year and now that this one is open we have been coming several times a week. Each time we have come it has not been busy so a pro tip would be to come mid week and stay away from weekends. Actually, stay away during the week so I can continue without crowds! They have a "tot spot" which is exclusive to toddlers and babies which is amazing. It is a nice area blocked off away from big kid so my 18 month old can be free to play and explorer without worrying of bigger kids getting in the way. I constantly see the staff changing out the toys and cleaning. The museum also has a mini play town called "Kidtropolis" that has pretend grocery store, city hall, vet office, and others. They are given a "credit card" and can pretend buy items in town and withdraw "cash" at the play bank. Overall I highly recommend this place and I recommend getting a yearly membership. That has saved me a ton and you get unlimited visits to...
Read moreThis place is the most unfriendliest place that I've ever been to.They have zero personality. I am mainly referring to the Supervisor or manager or whoever it was at the front desk when I was checking in. We came with a total of 8 people. We forgot one of our free tickets that my little one got we still had one however. So upon checking it I spoke with the cashier who spoke to her supervisor or whomever that was and she said no you have to pay. I'm like duh! what I'm telling you is we forgot the pass. I came here maybe two weeks ago with the free ticket and i have a ton but today i forgot it. This is my point if someone comes in explains to you and your stern face is no you have to pay no customer service no Empathy no more service. Thank you to all the other personnel who work in other areas you need a supervisor who is customer service oriented and cares for people and not just no cash no play. On top of that they tried to overcharge us. Your job is simple don't make it harder than it should be. See...
