I walked here the day after Christmas with my adult daughter, and I was amazed how nice these trails were. Lots of mature trees, occasional glimpses of the Brazos river through the forest, and several short loops to keep it interesting. Read morePros: It’s very secluded considering you’re in Sugarland. There is fishing access to the Brazos. Trails are well defined. Lots of wildlife. Good for hikers who want some seclusion.
Cons: No parking near trailheads unless you want to park in front of someone’s house. We parked in a nearby church parking lot and walked to it. Trail floods in places when the Brazos is high. Read moreI stumbled upon this trail just by chance after googling "hiking near me". I am surprised it is not advertised more. It was such great Sunday afternoon fun for my family and I. We really enjoyed our hike. There were several bikers we saw and one other hiker. We will definitely be going back!
