Red Rock Canyon was more than I thought it would be. Online reviews didn’t do it justice. I see a lot of people debating if they should do this or Valley of fire. I personally think red rock is more scenic. I would give this park a whole day. It is about 30 minutes from Las Vegas, which makes it ideal for someone who does not wish to drive too far from the strip. I would recommend having a car because it is a huge park that you cannot walk. There are a lot of hiking trails to choose from and worth exploring. This is one of the reasons I recommend being here for a whole day. I also recommend going when the weather is a bit cooler, but if you must go in the summer, bring lots of water and dress for the weather. Keep in mind if you do decide to do the scenic drive it loops around the park and takes you out of the park at the end. There is a fee to get in that you should book ahead.

Visited here while in Vegas for a K-Beauty/Korean Skincare & Haircare Conference. Was a great scenic drive. Very quiet and peaceful after a hectic weekend at an epic event with thousands of people. Clean and fresh air. Away from the crowds. Definitely recommend to all in the area whether you're visiting Vegas or live in the area. It's a short drive and totally worth it. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Am an annual America the Beautiful Pass Holder so they just let me right in without a reservation. There is a $2 fee though. So much better than paying $20+/vehicle. Great hiking trails. Even saw lots of rock climbers on site. 😎

Incorporated the park into a bike ride. Wide, nicely paved, one way direction road. Busy park that requires reservations unless you bike in. I didn't hike any trails, but from the road you get incredible views of the park. Saw people rock climbing with gear. Lots of cyclists on the road.
