If I rated this just on the landscape it'd be a 5 star review easily. The upkeep on everything here is totally abysmal though. The petroglyphs are down a trail that is very poorly marked, and the information plaque is really faded, and not very close to them at all. Which is understandable they don't want people getting close to them, but it's not only far away, it's off to the left of them, not directly in front of them so they are super hard to see or even take pictures of. The bathrooms up by the more northern trails were also disgusting, completely grotesque covered in pee, toilet paper, and just stank. The gift shop prices are hysterically high too. 25 dollars for a 2 ounce mass produced wooden carving. Not even heavy enough to be a paperweight, and the larger ones quickly go up to 40-60 bucks. Didn't even see anything to grab just for the fun of it for 5-10 dollars. The museum is also totally broken, there is some display to see a dust devil by pressing a button, but it's broken and you can just see through it into it's inner workings, the turtles there are gone too. Everything else is dirty and poorly kept. I think the people working here gave up years ago, which is super unfortunate because the place looks beautiful otherwise. Eat well before you go and go to the bathroom too, bring your own water, don't bother going to the museum, and avoid...
Read moreThis is the most beautiful and most inspiring place that I have experienced in Las Vegas Nevada. I happened upon it by googling something that will be really close to where we were staying and something that would be somewhat similar to going to the Grand Canyon, this was exceptional and I’m glad that I found it. There is a photo op at the beginning a big Red Rock Canyon sign and parking area. It has a fee entrance at the beginning about 15 bucks a car, and then there is a scenic route you can drive up into Red Rock Canyon from your car the views are breathtaking, totally amazing and something I would definitely recommend going to see. There is a gift shop. Go there first because no turning back and no roads lead back to the gift shop. There are some mini stops along the way and you can get out of your car, look and explore. There are some simple -to- extremely hard trails that you can walk on and really have a chance to look around and get a closer look. I do highly recommend this as one of your adventures when you go to Las Vegas Nevada a must see and you...
