My 15 year old son practiced basketball earlier and around 4:30pm, he was about to leave the basketball court but was approached by 2 black teenagers around the age of 16 and 18. Both of them demanded for my son to give up his iPhone and earpods. They said if he doesn't give it up, then there will be a fight. These teenagers was obviously bigger than him, he was smart and gave them what they wanted. There was noone else around the park and yet we thought going to the park was safe for our kids! please be safe everyone. Read moreWillows Park was a nice walk but unlike all of our other trails, this one has a locked gate on the other side of the tunnel that goes under Town Center. This is very disappointing as you have to walk the Willows Park 3 times to get the steps that you need for your morning walk. If we can walk through the locked gate (as it was planned) you would end in at Spotted Leaf Park and then you could turn around and come back and that would be a perfect, fit walk of 2 to 3 miles. We have other trails where you walk from one park to another and that is how it should be. Read moreDon't sleep on this place! It's a hidden gem, literally, because its a lesser known park. Never too crowded, unless there is a football/baseball practice.
Favorite feature - Luuuuuush green grass. Not kidding. The grass is greener here. Someone please give the landscaper 10 stars!
I love this place for walking by myself or with my wife & daughter. At the NW corner, there is a small concrete wall that overlooks the whole park... best spot.
