UPDATED BELOW:🚨 Absolutely the worse service I have ever dealt with. I know that it’s new owners, but I have lived in this area for 30 plus years, and have been to this establishment many times. But now I went there with an appointment to try and plan my wedding, but as I walked in the door from the beginning I was treated with disrespect. The gentleman that we were supposed to meet was showing two woman around, and that’s fine, but we showed up at 11:45 for a 12 noon appointment, and we were not even acknowledged. He looks at us doesn’t even say hi, absolutely nothing at all and proceeds to take the other two women around! Then at 12:10 I opened the office door, where he was sitting with the two woman talking over prices, and I kindly said “excuse me, we have a 12 is there anyone to help us?” He then looked at me with disgust and like I was bothering him to say that we are here for our appointment. I was an appointment made customer you didn’t greet at the door or anything. Then to top it off you gave attitude when I ask if someone can help me spend thousands after also being overheard saying to the two girls that were being toured that even though there was a noon appointment we could wait. And to think we wanted to spend thousands on a wedding at your terrible customer service establishment! Very sad to see, poor customer service here, makes me miss the old owner! They would have never done this to a couple.
UPDATE: I CANNOT BELIEVE THE OWNER HAS THE AUDACITY TO CONTINUE THIS SITUATION. I am absolutely disgusted with the behavior from the owners at the Venus de Milo. I grew up right across the street and have been to this establishment hundreds of times. I have never been treated with such disrespect as a customer with an appointment. My fiancé, mother, maid of honor and I made an appointment to come and see the renovations and speak to Monte regarding a quote for our wedding. We walked into the building at 11:45am, as we were excited to see the venue and to meet with Monte. We saw a man walking around with two women and were confused if that was the man was who we were supposed to be meeting with. We were NOT acknowledged, glanced at, and not a single word was even spoken to us. We proceeded to wait patiently for 25 minutes, then my fiancé politely popped his head into the office and asked if there was someone that we could meet with. Monte responded to him with an eye roll and saying “I’ll be with you in a few minutes.” We had already been waiting for 25 minutes, we were not going to be ignored and then treated like we were a bother. And for Monte to throw those women’s information out to the public is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. My soon to be husband served fifteen years in the military and treats everyone with respect; and he deserves that same respect in return. For Monte to say we didn’t have patience and that the review was bogus, instead of trying to remedy the situation is what is wrong with this owner. Waiting was not the issue. The way we were treated was....

Dad is disabled has trouble walking. I don't feel we should be charged a gratuity for no service 1st if all. The food was so disappointing, watery cranberry sauce. Fake mashed potatoes. Dark brown gravy not turkey gravy. Bland tasting stuffing. Salty ham no glaze. No Famous Venus Minestrone Soup offered only bland chicken soup, in which the kid was only serving a half of a cup! No warm rolls, served w/ hard butter. None of it looked appetizing. Served only water no ice or lemon, had to beg for ice water. Dirty plates lates not removed from table. I have volunteered in soup kitchens that served much better tasting food w/ better presentation than what we experienced. It appeared to have been catered in. Never Again will I return and don't recommend it to anyone. The Thanksgiving sandwich from D'ANGELO'S would have been a better choice. Venus you should have remained closed. No comparison to the Venus De Milo that I have frequently enjoyed for over 40 years! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!!
*Update to Venus Response Obviously you weren't Responding to the correct customers, as I stated I went with my Dad not a husband. I had a reservation at 3p not 2p and did not have a female waitress it was a male. So it was not Only me that was ALSO complaining of the inferiority of the whole experience and you Do Not Remember me being difficult on Thursday. I do get it though as it must be difficult keeping all the complaints straight. It isn't expensive to boil water w cranberries and sugar my 8 y/o has done it for several years now. There is no way in hell the chicken soup had the same taste or quality of "Old Venus" and I was not told or was it mentioned on the website it was a Buffet, hence the reason I did not call to ask for special arrangements for my Dad! I also will definitely order D'ANGELO'S instead of being robbed by your new and inferior "Venus De Milo" or better yet Make my own Thanksgiving Dinner as I usually do. Correct me if I am wrong, but a Restaurant Review is exactly that " a Review of the whole Dining Experience" Good, Bad or Indifferent, without input from You, telling me what My experience is or was. My Review is meant to assist others on deciding whether to dine there or not and not to appease you!!! It's a damn shame that your responce is so Defensive and Unprofessional to an Honest Review of your establishment. Instead of attending to the issues that are being brought to your attention, you waste your time trying to argue & belittle the paying consumer who is only trying to inform others about their experience! Remember This.... We the Consumers will ultimately decide the fate of your Business!!! GOD BLESS You as well...

We arrived for our 8:30 for reservation and saw a line out the door and down the corridor. We were told that it would be an hour to be seated. We decided to sit at the bar and wait. At 9:30 we decided to order at the bar but was warned that the kitchen was "backed up" and may take a while to get our food. We ordered and proceeded to wait until 11:15 p.m. and was told our order was not even started.
OK, The Maitre D was alone and had no hostess help to survey open tables and assist customers. Clearly too much to do for one person.
It appeared that Venus had 1) over booked and 2) being Valentine's day, patrons would taking longer at their tables which one would expect seasoned restaurant to anticipate
If the kitchen got so behind as we were told around 6:30, and having only time made us wonder why. Having patrons with reservations only, they knew exactly how many people were attending. Why wasn't another kitchen opened in the other halls (there were no weddings or banquets this evening) and then they would not have to rely on an eighth burner stove. They could have used the other kitchen for appetizers, sides, or dinners.
Venus de Milo should be a "well oiled machine" in large scale dinning and it seems odd that this event mucked them up so badly.
All the floor staff couldn't have been nicer or more apologetic and they felt the brunt of the fiasco by being overwhelmed, lost meals (people were leaving left and right) and lost tips (there were stories of people not tipping on 100 to 200 checks. or even leaving after the appetizers without paying. This event effected all.
Some one clearly dropped the ball.
Regulars will return but costumers such as us, will hesitate to return as it is a treat and something we will want to be sure will happen when we splurge next time.
Clearly, the memory will be one of waiting for nothing and jokes and ridicule instead of romance and memories of a good experience.
