Nice store in Keene but poor customer service recently by one over ambitious associate, and maybe 10 total people in the store shopping. I was waiting in line to pay for one item with my 89 year old father inlaw whose is blind and mostly deaf. About 12 feet from anyone. I pulled down my mask to speak with him as he could not hear muffled mask language and a well meaning store clerk told me to put my mask on. I have read governors mandate and handicap is a total exception and refered her to that mandate. She said it's STORE POLICY TO WEAR A MASK and I needed to leave.
Better customer service would be to offer to take my one item of merchandise and pay for it wuth my money or credit card and deliver outside the door. I believe the store he as a policy of customer service, or no? The store should be there to serve the customer, not the other way around, I wanted to buy local, but with this service I will buy online from Amazon for less. Hopefully management will learn before the store closes from lack of business. I'm sorry you lost my...
Read moreWill not return! As an ex-store manager I could see they were in "potential shoplifting mode." My wife was in a wheelchair shopping for shirt for our son, when a gun & ammo clerk quickly left his counter to assist us with flannel shirts. Once we made a selection he escorted us to a checkout where, after a woman in front of us completed her transaction, he started ringing us out. He proceeded by completely unfolding one shirt then re-folded it and then he slid his hand into and around the folds of the second shirt . After finally getting our shirts and change back, came the final insult, as I was pushing my wife towards or car, a cashier ran out to us in the parking lot exclaiming to us " we just wanted to make sure the security tag didn't activate the alarms!!" WE WERE OUT IN THE PARKING LOT - LAST I KNEW SUCH ALARMS ARE USUALLY INSIDE A...
Read moreDo not buy items from this store if there is a chance you may need to return them. Returns are unaccepted. Even for an item that somehow was clearly used and somehow previously returned with scrapes and a missing part. The burden is now on the customer to sell an unwanted item that was in their possession for less than 24 hours. Suggest the customer opening and inspecting all items and parts before leaving the store with purchased item, as this is clearly now the responsibility of the customer. Store associates unreceptive to processing return. Unfortunate as the store has received a large amount of our business over the last 20 years. Will never enter the...
