Wetzel Park — Attraction in Sycamore Township

Quiet neighborhood park that’s tucked away in Sycamore.

There’s no parking lot at this location which seems strange initially but it really doesn’t matter because there’s usually nobody driving along these neighborhood roads. My kids loved the fact that everything was so spread out which gave them the freedom to run free.

My favorite part of this location was the fact that there were no wood chips. There was a sand pit though so consider yourself warned 😂. There’s a newly paved basketball 🏀 court and a partly enclosed tennis 🎾 court. We definitely plan on coming back for...

My kids 9 and 11 loved this park's equipment. There was some kind of wasp type insect infestation in the sandbox though. I couldn't tell what insect it was. It's a good park, aside from that though. Just wanted to warn other folks, because one of mine is allergic to stings. There's also a large basketball court, an obstacle course, swings for all, including one for special needs children, and a nice shady table area. I could not find an actual parking lot, we parked...

There's no parking lot, just a narrow gravel shoulder on the streets around the park. It's a very small park in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
