Incredible place for local history. First glance, it seems quite small inside but the level of detail in the exhibits and from the staff brings everything to life. The woman running the gift shop and tickets was so pleasant, helpful, and willing to share everything she could. My family has been in the area over 100 years so it was a blast to see part of our history in the museum. We went into the Joiner History Room and the Director Rob, went above and beyond. He started to dig through files on our family that a relative had donated items years ago that we got to go through! He spent a few hours going through older books and records to show us every part of history they had on my family. Absolutely gem for local...

This museum is pretty neat to stop at every once in a while. Exhibits change relatively frequently and interesting information is presented. You must be dedicated in learning about the region or you will be bored waiting for the people in your party that are. They could probably fit their whole exhibit in a book or two as there aren't many physical items to look at other than the information boards.
