Flagg Mountain and its tower is a delightful mix of history and adventure. Beautiful fire watch tower restored and sitting pretty on the top of the mountain so that you can see it from far away. The mountain itself is part of the southern most Appalachian Mountains. The Tower is now the new Southern Terminus for the Pinhoti Trail, which runs from South East Alabama and connects up to the Appalachian Trail near Springer Mountain (Southern Terminus for the AT). Come visit this timeless piece of history and take a hike on the Pinhoti Trail.

Beautiful place. Rented cabin #1 for the night. I will definitely be going back for a weekend. Cabin #1 has a bathroom 2,3 and 4 does not. At the moment cabin 3 and 4 are under construction. If you like to hike and scenery this is the place for you. Take sheets, blankets, towels, drinks, food and charcoal for the grill. Pictures are of cabin #1. It cost a whole $40. For a night

Beautifully restored fire tower! A very nice ADA accessible switchback paved trail to access the tower. It’s a very pretty and historic tower. We’ve gone to Smith Mountain’s fire tower before and this has far more character. Both are worth a visit!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so this review will be short. The view will describe everything far better than I could. Visit the Grand canyon. Take It All In, if you can. From the tower, gain is slightly different perspective. The pictures in your mind will...
