An amazing place and an awesome experience!! It brought back many memories of growing up on the farm back in Texas. The people who tended to the farm both inside and outside treated everyone like family. They played authentic country games with us and made all feel at home. It truly was a wonderful experience. They took time out to talk with us, answer any questions, and showed us the ins and outs of the chicken coops, etc. The medicinal knowledge was priceless with tons of interesting info, acres of open space, farm animals galore and just pure serenity. I am so happy this farm came recommended so highly and that we chose to visit. My kids and us loved it!! It was a great day for a picnic as well and to spend some quality bonding time. We are definitely coming back! See y'all soon and thank you for an unforgettable...
Read moreI had been to this museum years ago and enjoyed it. So, I brought friends to see it this year. I was a bit disappointed to find that half of the museum area was closed off for a farm to table dinning experience that only takes places perhaps 6 times a year. You only need a half hour now to view the museum. A country doctor was so important back in the day! Both senior Dr. Remick and his son were well regarded by the community. The farm itself lends itself to photography. I can't believe that I neglected to take pictures of the baby goats with their long soft ears. They were entertaining to watch. The papa goat who was in another pen was the friendliest goat ever. In total, you'll need an hour tops for both the farm & the museum unless you take a hike. Entry is free with a box for an...
Read moreI highly recommend a stop at the Remick Museum in the adorable town of Tamworth. The grounds are huge and include the Remock house, barns, maple shop, wood working shop, and acres of pastures full of farm animals. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgable. Everyone took the time and care to show is around and provide us with in-depth explanations. Our 8 year old had an. Incredible time and learned a lot. Our 1 year old enjoyed running around the farm pointing at all of the animals. We spent almost a whole day there! We walked over to the Tamworth Lyceum for lunch and had a delicious meal at lunch time and the walked right back over to the...
